Abandonment and sidetrack drilling programme 1. Programme Summary Abandonment
This programme will prepare the existing well for a forthcoming horizontal side-track which is due to begin immediately upon the successful completion of the abandonment. Due to the target constraints, the abandonment will commence from below the existing 20" shoe.
The existing completion will be retrieved from the wellhead down to the ELTSR which is located just above the production packer. The well will then be abandoned with cement plugs. After cutting and retrieving (and milling if necessary) a quantity of 9-5/8" casing, a window . . .
